In 1935, Ingersoll designed a Donald Duck watch prototype that never reached production due to Disney’s belief that the character wasn’t yet popular enough to sustain it. Decades later, in 1990, the discovery of the only known finished prototype inspired an exclusive collaboration between The Pedre Company and Disney. To celebrate Donald Duck’s 60th birthday, they released this highly collectible limited-edition commemorative reproduction, capturing the exact whimsical spirit and design elements of the original 1935 layout.

The timepiece features a white dial where Donald Duck’s arms serve as the hour and minute hands. At the 6 o’clock position, a unique rotating sub-dial disc showcases three “running” Donald Duck figures instead of a traditional sub-seconds hand. The watch comes mounted on a black leather strap adorned with two die-cut metal Donald charms. The caseback features a unique engraved serial number alongside the commemorative text: “Made Exclusively by Pedre for The Disney Store, To Commemorate Donald Duck on His 60th Birthday.” This piece comes complete with its 1930s-style reproduction cardboard box, offering an incredible crossover piece for both watch collectors and Disneyana enthusiasts.
